Official Rules for the 2020 One Generation Project Online ® Contest

NO PURCHASE, CONTRIBUTION, OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO
ENTER OR WIN THIS CONTEST. A PURCHASE WILL NOT IMPROVE CHANCES OF
WINNING.

Rules for Contest: By participating in this Contest, participants (“Participant(s)”) agree to be
bound by these Official Rules and the final decision of the Contest. Decisions by Americans for
Prosperity Foundation, (“AFPF” or “Sponsor”) are binding and final in every respect.

Eligibility: The 2020 One Generation Project Contest (“Contest”) is open to all Participants
enrolled in high school during the duration of this contest. No one over 18 is eligible to participate
unless they are still enrolled in high school during the duration of this Contest. This Contest is
subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws. Void where prohibited.

PERSONS WHO ARE MINORS (GENERALLY, UNDER THE AGE OF 18) SHOULD GET
THE PERMISSION OF THEIR PARENT OR LEGAL GUARDIAN PRIOR TO ENTERING
THE CONTEST. BY PARTICIPATING, YOU (IF A MINOR, YOUR PARENT OR LEGAL
GUARDIAN) AGREE TO THESE OFFICIAL RULES AND ALL DECISIONS OF SPONSOR,
WHICH ARE FINAL AND BINDING IN ALL RESPECTS. IF MINOR IS THE WINNING
PARTICIPANT IN THE CONTEST, THE PARENT OR LEGAL GUARDIAN OF MINOR
MUST EXECUTE A RELEASE ON BEHALF OF MINOR TO USE THE PRIZE.

In order to participate in this Contest, each Participant must submit a video on AFPF”s theme of
the week. In order to qualify, a video must be a minimum of 60 seconds long, and not to exceed
65 seconds. Duplicate entries are not permitted. The winner each week will be selected from all
submissions received during the Contest Period.

A Participant is limited to one prize from this Contest and any other simultaneous AFPF Contest
or contest. Employees, contractors, subcontractors, agents, board members, and any other
individuals otherwise compensated By AFPF or any of its affiliates or subsidiaries and the
immediate family members of those individuals, are not eligible to participate in this Contest. In
no event will Sponsor be liable for more prizes than outlined in the Contest Details. Prizes are
non-transferable and non-negotiable.

Contest Period: The Contest Period begins at 8:00 AM Eastern Time on March 30, 2020 and
ends at 9:00 pm Eastern Time on April 27, 2020.

Consumer Disclosure: There is one prize awarded per week in the form of a $100 Amazon gift
card. There are a total of four prizes available. Selected winners will receive the gift card by mail
within 7-10 business days, or as otherwise determined by AFPF.

Selection of Winners: The winners will be selected from among all eligible Participants. In order
to be considered an eligible Participant, Participant must submit their video no later than midnight
Eastern time on the Friday following the announcement of the week’s theme. Winners will be
announced on OGP’s Monday tele-townhall All valid and completed entries received during the
Contest Period will be included in the pool for selection purposes. The winner will be chosen in
the sole discretion of AFPF, giving equal weight to each eligible entry. The use of profanity or
vulgarity, in the sole discretion of AFPF, will result in the automatic disqualification of any entry.
The odds of a Participant becoming a prize winner will vary depending on the total number of
entries received during the Contest Period. To claim the prize, selected winner must be present on
the Monday tele-townhall. If selected winner is not present, the prize will be awarded to the
successive runner up who is present at Monday’s tele-townhall.

Publicity: Sponsor reserves the right to use for publicity purposes prior to, during, or after the
Contest Period, in any media, the Participant’s name, likeness, and city name throughout the world,
in perpetuity, without any compensation or prior review, unless specifically prohibited by law. By
submitting a video under this Contest, Participant and/or their legal guardian agrees that they
irrevocably consent to and authorize the use and reproduction by AFPF and its affiliates, of any
and all film, photographs, voice recording, or any other likeness (hereafter, “Likeness”) that may
be received, taken, or recorded during the course of activities relating to this Contest of the minor,
for the use of AFPF and/or its affiliates, in original or modified form, without any limitation as to
time, location, media, or method of reproduction, all without any compensation to me or the minor.
This permission includes use of the minor’s Likeness in advertising, promotional materials, or any
other project deemed appropriate by AFPF or its affiliates, and waiver of the right to review,
inspect, or otherwise approve of any such work. The photographs, video submissions, negatives,
other images, voice recordings and/or other likeness submitted under this Contest and otherwise
captured during the activities shall constitute AFPF’s sole property. As an express condition of
participating in this Contest, Participants and/or their legal guardians further release AFPF and its
affiliates, their directors, officers, agents, and employees, from all claims of every kind on account
of the use of the minor’s likeness

Taxes: It is the sole responsibility of the winning Participant to pay all federal, state, and local
taxes in connection with the prize.

Trademark: Amazon is a registered trademark of Amazon Technologies, Inc.. This contest is in
no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with Amazon. Americans for
Prosperity Foundation and One Generation Project are registered trademarks of Americans for
Prosperity Foundation. All rights reserved.

Privacy Policy: Participant membership information will be handled in compliance with AFPF’s
Privacy Policy, found at https://americansforprosperityfoundation.org/privacy-policy/, and AFPF’s
Terms of Use Policy, found at https://americansforprosperityfoundation.org/terms-of-use/.
Limitation of Liability, Governing Law, and Venue: Participant agrees to indemnify, defend,
and hold harmless Sponsor from any loss, liability, damage, or costs, including court costs and
legal fees, which result from Participant’s involvement and participation in the Contest or
Participant’s receipt or use of the prize. In no event shall AFPF be liable to Participant for special,
indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including without limitation, loss of use of profits,
regardless of whether such damages are caused or allegedly caused by breach of contract, tort or
otherwise (including negligent or willful act or omission, warranty, indemnity, or strict
liability). This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia without
regard for conflict of laws doctrine. Participants agree that any legal action arising in connection
with the Contest, whether in tort, contract, or otherwise, shall be heard exclusively in the courts of
the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Waiver of Jury: As a condition of participating in this Contest, each Participant hereby
irrevocably and perpetually waives any right that Participant may have to a trial by jury in respect
of any litigation directly or indirectly arising out of, under, or in connection with the Contest, any
document or agreement entered into in connection with the Contest, any prize available through
the Contest, and any of the transactions contemplated related to the Contest.

Termination: Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, modify, or suspend the
Contest at any time.
